About Us

What is Business Psychology?

Business/organisational/occupational psychology is an area of psychology focussing on getting the best out of people at work. It uses scientific theory and practice and applies it to career development, selection, assessment, stress and wellbeing at work and organisational change.

Our Members

Our members are Black Psychologists who have studied occupational psychology. Our members span many industries including public/private and third sector organisations and have a wealth of experience and expertise in areas including, assessment, organisational change and transformation, selection, psychometric design and delivery, coaching,  training delivery and design and diversity, anti-racism and inclusion.

Our History

We started our meet-ups in 2017 to bring together business/occupational/organisational psychologists from black backgrounds. We have been going for over three years now and love to share, experiences, collaborate and talk.

Our Mission

We aim to increase the awareness and visibility of Black Business Psychologists based in the UK. We want Black Business Psychology students and professionals to feel accepted and included into the profession by fostering a space where they feel comfortable and safe. We aim to spread awareness of the broad nature of business psychology and offer careers advice and guidance to those wishing to pursue this area of psychology. We also aim to  foster collaborations with allies and other people who want to explore how psychology can be used to increase organisational performance and efficiency.

Our Services

The members of the Black Business Psychology Network are mostly experienced  and highly skilled psychologists. If you need any psychologists for selection and assessment, coaching, diversity and inclusion insight, action plans, training or organisational change  please  contact us.  We are open to collaborations, to take part in projects or lead initiatives. Additionally, our members have expertise in other areas including tutoring, CV writing, photography and wellness.
